Hello! I’m Jeff Elgee, teacher (and eternal student) of the great practice of yoga.

My job is to guide you through a fun, beneficial class that’s always engaging and safe. Along the way you’ll notice some of the many benefits that yoga has to offer: freeing your body and mind from stress, learning to live in the present, and getting to love the body you live in!

When I went to my first yoga class several years ago I was a complete cynic. I was a student at the time, and, perhaps spurred on by mid-term boredom, decided to go to a yoga class if for no other reason than to say “yah I can say yoga is a waste of time because I’ve tried it!”. I was tremendously inflexible, and had a much clouded mind, making the practice all the more revelatory. I went in a cynic and came out a more relaxed, different person. My relationship to my own body and well-being had permanently changed for the better.

I became a teacher of yoga because, deep-down, I knew I couldn’t keep this amazing practice to myself. I had to share this beautiful experience with other people. And sure enough teaching has been such a privilege and a joy!

Having started doing yoga being so inflexible means that one thing I really appreciate about the practice is its ability to meet you wherever you’re at. I’ve taught yoga to naturally very flexible and athletic young people, inflexible weightlifting men, the elderly, people in wheelchairs, and, well, any type of body you can imagine, and they have all benefited from the practice. With that in mind you can take a look at the classes I offer and decide which is right for you.

See you soon!

Sincerely,

Jeff Elgee
